The Good Ending is one of the two endings that the player can accomplish in Maid of Sker. The player can achieve this ending if they refuse to give the four cylinders to Elisabeth Williams.

The Siren free from her cage
This ending can be achieved by selecting the dialogue option "No, I don't trust you, I will play the countersong." with Elisabeth. She can be found at the Grand Harmonium after defeating Isaac. Please note that all four Music Sheets must be in the player inventory for this option to be enabled. It is not required for the player to have all four cylinders, since they are not required for this ending.
Thomas, distrusting the real intentions of Elisabeth, decides to interact with the Grand Harmonium by himself, letting her believe that he was going to place all four cylinders in place. Instead, he decides to place all four Music Sheets in front of the piano in order to play the counter song. As soon as the first notes were done, a panicked Elisabeth would try to stop Thomas into continuing the piece.

Elisabeth and Calliope
Unfortunately for her, the counter song programmed inside the machine was already set in motion, causing her to hold her head in pain while the effects of the Siren's Song slowly vanished from her mind. Once freed, she would recognize the counter song and immediately help Thomas with her own singing. Abraham would try to stop them both, before falling to his knees thanks to the counter song. The elevator would then take the both of them to the caverns, where stunned Quiet Ones awaited on the floor alongside a confused caged Siren.
Elisabeth would recognize that they had to free the creature in order to end the madness that plagued her family. Dropping the cage to free the Siren, she would simply climb outside of it, stare at the pair for a few seconds, and fly into the distance.
In the extra cutscene, both Elisabeth and Calliope are revealed to be alive and well, paying their due respects at her mother's gravestone.
Cutscene Transcript[]
Thomas simply stares at Elisabeth, who instead of reacting aggressively, just lets him take control of the situation.
"*Laughing*" Elisabeth laughs while looking like a villain whose plan is about to be completed to take over the world. Thomas then walks over to the Grand Harmonium and produces the music notes collected from the deceased composers, to then place them in front of it.
"We shall end all this madness and disharmony, and gain control of the Siren's Song for ourselves, bring order to the - -" Elisabeth starts monologuing, Thomas unfazed by her villain speech, before starting to play the keyboard with the song in the music notes.
"What are you doing?! No! Thomas, you don't understand, we must..." In a panic state, Elisabeth pushes away Thomas from continuing to play the song that would remove the Siren's Song influence, but it was too late, as the Grand Harmonium keeps playing on its own.
"*Screaming*" Elisabeth starts to scream in pain while trying to support herself on the Grand Harmonium, before falling to her knees.
"Thomas? What am I doing...? The counter song, yes..." Elisabeth says, fully regaining control over her consciousness. She then stands up, and holds his hands in preparation to sing from the botton of her heart.
"*Singing*" Elisabeth then starts to sing the counter song. Thomas looks to his left to an approaching Abraham, who is immediately stunned in pain by the song itself. He then falls down to his knees, before the platform starts lowering itself towards the Cavern.
It is then shown the daytime interior of the Cavern, where the remains of the HMS Providence shipwrech remain, alongside a caged Siren suspended in air. The Quiet Ones seen here are all stunned in pain thanks to the song itself, who are unable to intervene on their plans. The platforn then finally stops at the bottom.
"We need to end this; end all this misery and suffering...To free this thing and my family from this curse." Elisabeth tells Thomas, who then takes the initiative of going towards the lever to interact with it.
After Thomas interacts with the lever, the cage drops to the ground, before the door swings open to a confused Siren. She then slowly climbs outside of the cage while staring at the couple, who are now holding hands at this moment. The Siren simply does a small sing, and readies to start flying, to then head towards the exit of the Cavern at the distance. The screen then slowly fades out to black.
"In the light, new harmony was found, old chains were broken
And in the aftermath of the song's end, a new one began." The voice of Elisabeth voices the small epilogue, before the credits start.
Once the credits are done, another cutscene starts playing, where both Elisabeth and Callione are seen kneeling over her mother's gravestone at the Graveyard during daytime. This lasts for a few seconds before fading out to black.
Notes[]
- It is revealed that Elisabeth fell under the Siren's Song influence before she was reached by Thomas.
- It is never shown how Abraham is capable of appearing to the left of the Grand Harmonium without making noise whatsover.
- Once the inside of the cave is shown, most of the Quiet Ones will be in here, including Henry.
- When the cage is dropped, the door swings open, freeing the creature inside of it. This is in stark contrast to the same event during the Bad Ending.
- The extra scene reveals that Calliope is alive and well, keeping Elisabeth company.
- This ending leaves the fate of Isaac unknown, as he is no longer shown in further scenes.
